Aloha and welcome! Kelly Stuart is a cellist based on the Big Island of Hawai’i. Their career has taken them around the world, performing for musical theatre, chamber ensembles, and as a solo artist. A founding member of the Elbe Ensemble (Dresden, Germany), Kelly was also the Artist-in-Residence for rural schools in South Monterey County, California, from 2014-2015. They have appeared in the Forest Hill Concert Series (San Francisco), the Berkeley Arts and Letters lecture series, and on Kahilu.tv as a featured soloist. Holding a Bachelor of Music from Boston University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Maine, they currently perform with the Kamuela Philharmonic as the principal cellist, the Hilo Community Players, and the trio 19th Parallel. They were also a nominee for the 2020 Pushcart Prize in Nonfiction.
